Introducing our high-quality, traditional, and authentically made natural pigment powder, specifically crafted for Kintsugi and Maki-e techniques. This pigment powder is designed to be used with our Raw Urushi (unblended), offering a perfect complement for your artistic endeavors.
When blending raw urushi with our pigment powders, you'll witness a different layer of application, allowing you to observe each brushstroke with greater clarity. Many experts recommend specific pigment colors for different tones of precious metal powders. For a golden tonal color, red (bengara) urushi is preferred, while black urushi is highly recommended for a silvery tonal color.
Specifications:
Quantity: 1 full glass vial (weight varies depending on color pigment powder - approximately 10g)
Color: Black
Vial Size: 10ml, 22mm x 50mm
Our Recommendation:
For the best results, we suggest a volume ratio of 1:1 when mixing raw urushi with our pigments. Slowly fold the pigment into the raw urushi for about 2 minutes until the desired color fully develops. To ensure purity, consider using our urushi filter papers to remove any impurities.
With this exceptional pigment powder, you can enhance your Kintsugi and Maki-e creations, achieving stunning results and showcasing your artistic vision.
